Our goal is to enable grid parity solar energy by 2012 through high volume manufacturing of low cost solar modules.

Manufacturing Process

MiaSolé manufactures high yield, high capital productivity, highly efficient thin film solar modules. MiaSolé’s distinctive manufacturing process is proven to lower costs while providing predictable reliability.

MiaSolé manufactures each of its solar modules from start to finish at its two manufacturing facilities. MiaSolé is the only solar thin film company that uses low cost sputtering processes for every step of the CIGS deposition process. Sputtering is a proven technology that provides consistent process control, high throughput, high yield, and low capital investment resulting in low product costs. Due to MiaSolé's advanced sputtering technology, all device layers are applied in a continuous process allowing high uniformity and relatively low manufacturing costs. The end result is a solar module exceeding 120W that is sold to utilities and independent developers of solar power plants for industrial scale deployments.
