Emerald People's Utility District (EPUD) has a loan program through Pacific Cascade Federal Credit Union to help residential customers improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Through this loan program, residents can borrow up to $7,500 with zero interest to install insulation in the attic, floor, and walls, and to upgrade windows and doors. However, the maximum loan amount available through this program varies by technology. The first step to obtaining a weatherization loan is to call Emerald Energy Services and schedule an energy analysis. An energy analyst will visit the home to help determine what energy saving measures are needed.
For more information on all programs, interested customers should consult the program website or contact Energy Services at (541) 746-1583.
