About

MiraCosta College’s Alternative Energy Solar Power and Wind Power training Program is a part of the college’s Community Services and Business Development Program. The Community Services and Business Development Program offers a wide variety of affordable not-for-credit classes, workshops, online courses and excursions for personal and professional enrichment. We also provide professional and trade skills development at any one of our three campus locations or right onsite at local business locations.

The mission of MiraCosta College Community Services is to provide affordable, not-for-credit continuing education to residents of our district who are interested in either personal or professional enrichment. Classes offered through Community Services are not funded with tax dollars. Your enrollment fees keep this valuable program going.”

Recognizing and understanding the importance of alternative “Green” Solar Power and Wind Power energy to the recovery of our economy and our climate, the Community Services and Business Development Program added the Alternative Energy Solar Power and Wind Power training program to its offering earlier this year. As part of the community college family, we also recognize our unique position for supporting the goals of President Obama’s administration, and the following facts from www.whitehouse.gov relating to “green energy” not only reflect the progress made so far, but also reflect the seriousness of our program in continuing our support and dedication towards creating clean energy jobs for our community.

Per the Whitehouse website, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act included more than $60 billion in clean energy investments that will jump-start our economy and build the Solar Power and Wind Power clean energy jobs of tomorrow:
