Renewable and Recycled Energy Objective

In March 2007, North Dakota enacted legislation (H.B. 1506) establishing an objective that 10% of all retail electricity sold in the state be obtained from renewable energy and recycled energy by 2015. The objective must be measured by qualifying megawatt-hours (MWh) delivered at retail, or by credits purchased and retired to offset non-qualifying retail sales. This objective is voluntary; there is no penalty or sanction for a retail provider of electricity that fails to meet the objective. Evergreen Sustainable Development Standard for Affordable Housing

The Washington State Department of Commerce created the Evergreen Sustainable Development Standard (ESDS), a set of green building criteria that is required for any affordable housing project applying for state funds through the Washington State Housing Trust Fund (HTF) beginning in July 2008. The standard is based on a point system which awards points for a variety of sustainable building practices including:

  • Site location and neighborhood planning;
  • Water conservation;
  • Energy efficiency and the incorporation of renewable energy technologies; and
  • Environmentally-conscious construction practices, building materials and improved indoor-air quality.

Carroll White REMC - Residential Heat Pump Rebate Program

Carroll White REMC offers incentives for the purchase and installation of energy efficient heat pumps. Rebates are available for air source and geothermal heat pumps. Carroll White REMC also offers a contractor payment of $150 upon successful inspection. A Carroll White REMC inspection of the equipment and installation is required upon completion. Customers should call the office to arrange an appointment with technicians from Carroll White and the rebate will be mailed to eligible applicants. Tipmont REMC customers are eligible for a wide variety of rebates. All necessary proof of purchase information is required. Customers are also eligible for rebates from PowerMoves. Heartland REMC - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Heartland Rural Electric Membership Cooperative (REMC) is a member-owned electric distribution organization that provides service to customers in north-central Indiana. Dominion Energy - Home Builder Gas Appliance Rebate Program

Dominion Energy provides incentives for home builders who incorporate energy efficiency into new construction. Builders can receive whole house rebates for building Energy Star homes (certified by an eligible home rater) and High Performance homes . All equipment and construction requirements must be met in order to participate. Dominion Energy - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs

Dominion Energy provides rebates for residential customers who make their homes more energy efficient by installing certain efficient heating equipment and certain weatherization measures. Incentives are available for programmable thermostats, water heats, boilers and dual-fuel heat pumps.

Northeastern Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) is a consumer-owned corporation that supplies electric power to more than 25,000 members in Northeastern Indiana. Miami-Cass REMC - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Miami-Cass Rural Electric Membership Cooperative (MCREMC) is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving customers in central Indiana.  MCREMC offers energy efficiency rebates to its residential in conjuction with the Wabash Valley Power Association (the wholesale power provider of MCREMC). Incentives exist for customers who install heat pump water heaters and air-source, geothermal, or dual fuel heat pumps, to either replace their existing (non-heat pump) HVAC system, to upgrade their existing heat pump system, or as a part of a new construction project. Marshall County REMC - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Marshall County REMC offers rebates to residential customers for the purchase and installation of energy efficient and geothermal heat pumps, pool pumps and water heaters. Detailed eligibility requirements for each of the various rebates can be found on the program website here. Heating and cooling rebates are offered for both new and existing homes.

All rebated equipment must be new and meet all technical specifications stated in rebate applications. Applications should be submitted within 60 days of project completion.
