Central Georgia EMC - Home Plus Loan for Energy Efficiency Upgrades

Central Georgia EMC offers a loan program to homeowners who wish to pursue energy efficiency improvements. All energy efficiency improvements must meet Energy Star Criteria in order to qualify for the loan program. Loan amounts vary depending on the project.

Jackson EMC - Residential Energy Efficiency HomePlus Loan Program

Jackson Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) is an electric cooperative that serves 194,000 in 10 northeast Georgia counties. For its residential customers, Jackson EMC offers a low-interest loan for energy efficient improvements. Residential and Small-Scale Ground-Source Heat Pump Rebate Program

Massachusetts Clean Energy Center(MassCEC) provides rebates for the installation of small-scale ground-source heat pump (“GSHP”) systems, as part of MassCEC's Clean Heating & Cooling programs. Through the program, MassCEC supports new and retrofit ground-source heat pump installations by single-family, with incentive adders to low-income families.

Rebate Levels: 

New GSHP installations: 

Residential rebates are limited to the first 5 tons through this program at a base rate of $2,000 per heating ton. Full replacement of an existing GSHP installation may be considered a new GSHP installation. Following adders are available: 

  • $1,500 per heating ton to households with income lower than 80%

Efficiency Maine - Home Energy Loans

Efficiency Maine offers a variety of home energy loans to help customers pay for energy upgrades. 

Maine homeowners of any-income can borrow up to max $25,000 over 10 years with interest rates fixed at 7.99% APR. Eligible upgrades include heat pumps, insulation, and air sealing. 

Certain income-eligible households are eligible for up to $7,500 over 10 years with an interest rate fixed at 5.99% APR. Only upgrades eligible for a residential rebate are allowed.

There are no application fees associated with these loans. A late payment is administered that is 5% of the amount due or $10, whichever is less

Solar Rights

Under Utah's solar rights law, enacted in 2017, community association governing documents other than declarations and association rules may not prohibit or restrict owners of detached dwellings from installing solar energy systems. The solar rights law does not apply to dwellings where the association has an ownership interest in the roof or to express prohibitions or restrictions on solar energy systems recorded in declarations of created by official association action before January 1, 2017.

An association declaration may prohibit the installation of solar energy systems. Declarations, as well as association rules, may impose a restriction based on system size, location
