Together We Save - Kentucky's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives (16 Cooperatives)

16 Rural Kentucky Electric Cooperatives participate in the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives program. These cooperatives participate in multiple programs that offer savings and rebates to customers. Most cooperatives offer heat pump rebates, weatherization rebates, a thermostat participation program, participation in the Energy Star Manufactured Home program, and the Community Assistance Resources for Energy Savings (CARES) program which provides an incentive to enhance the weatherization and energy efficiency services provided to the end-use members by the Kentucky Community Action Agencies (CAA) network. Blue Grass Energy - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Blue Grass Energy provides a variety of rebates to its residential customers for increasing their energy efficiency. This includes the Heat Pump Retrofit Program, the Button-Up Weatherization Program, and the ENERGY STAR Manufactured Home Program. Additionally, BGE provides the SimpleSaver program, which gives rebates to customers who reduce their use of air conditioners during peak times. BGE also provides the Community Assistance Resources for Energy Savings (CARES) program, which provides an incentive of up to $2,000 to households for weatherization and energy efficiency measures through their local Kentucky Community Action Agencies (CAA) network. Duke Energy - NC Solar Rebate Program

Note: Funding for this program is fully allocated and Duke is no longer accepting applications. It will continue to hold the waitlist until all reservations have been paid. 

Duke Energy Carolinas and Duke Energy Progress are providing rebates to customers who install PV. Each utility will is awarding rebates on a first-come, first-served basis to 10 MW of systems each year. Of this total, 5,000 kW are reserved for residential applications. Of the remaining 5,000 kW, 2,500 kW is reserved for nonprofits.

Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate Program

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) provides rebates for the installation of ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems at single-family/multifamily residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial sites. Rebates will be granted to GSHP systems installed after January 1, 2017, on a first-come, first-served basis, with applications accepted through June 30, 2019. Eligible sites include new and existing buildings installing a GSHP system for space heating and cooling, domestic hot water, and/or process heating that pay or will pay the surcharge.

Wabash Valley Power Association (28 Member Cooperatives) - Residential Energy Efficiency Program

Wabash Valley Power Association (WVPA) is a generation and transmission cooperative which provides wholesale electricity to 28 distribution systems in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, and Illinois. View the WVPA membership webpage to view all participating members of the association. WVPA offers a number of rebates to residential customers of these member organizations. Rebates are available for heat pump water heaters, geothermal and air-source heat pumps, and HVAC equipment.

Energy Storage Tax Credit

Maryland provides a tax credit to taxpayers who install energy storage systems in their residential or commercial property. The tax credit is 30 percent of the total installed costs of the system, up to $5,000 for residential property and $150,000 for commercial property. Taxpayers must apply to the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) to receive a tax credit certificate, which then qualifies them for the tax credit. MEA will award up to $750,000 in energy storage tax credits each year on a first come, first served basis while funding is available. NV Energy - Energy Storage Incentive Program

NV Energy is providing incentives for its customers to install energy storage systems at their homes and facilities.  To be eligible, customers must either have previously installed a renewable energy system or are currently installing one alongside their energy storage system. Standalone energy storage systems are not eligible.

Murfreesboro Electric Department - Residential Heat Pump Loan Program

Murfreesboro Electric Department, in collaboration with the Tennessee Valley Authority offers financing to its residential customer to help pay for new heat pumps through their Energy Right Heat Pump Program. Customers can finance up to $15,000 and pay in monthly installments on their utility bills. The loans can be paid off in as many as 10 years. There is a $45.00 security filing fee. The heat pump must be installed by a program-qualified contractor.

The Colorado Clean Energy Fund provides loans for home energy upgrades through the Residential Energy Upgrade (RENU) Loan Program. Participants must work with a RENU-approved contractor to identify energy improvements and receive a cost estimate.
