NYSERDA Retail Energy Storage Incentive Program

NOTE: The Block 1 of 100 MWh of energy storage capacity has been fully subscribed. The incentives is now offered at Block 2 level at $250/kWh for total Block of 125 MWh. 

In December 2018, the New York Public Service Commission (PSC) adopted 1,500 MW energy storage target by 2025, and a 3,000 MW target by 2030. As a part of the order, the PSC directed NYSERDA to develop incentive designed to meet the statewide energy storage goals.

NYSERDA Bulk Energy Storage Incentive Program

The Bulk Energy Storage Incentive program offers financial incentives for new energy storage projects greater than 5 MW (AC) that are connected to the grid. The energy storage system must provide services to the wholesale energy market, ancillary services, or distribution level service.

EnergyUnited (Gas) Residential Appliance Rebates Program

EnergyUnited offers rebates for replacing appliances with new more efficient propane appliances. Rebates are available for propane furnaces or gas packs, propane-fueled vented room heaters or wall furnaces, propane-fueled tankless water heaters, propane-fueled storage tank-type water heaters, and dual fuel heat pumps. Rebate amounts range from $100 to $300 depending on the appliance replaced. Rebates are only available to homeowners. Rebates are available until program funds are depleted.

EnergyUnited (Electric) Residential Energy Efficiency Program

EnergyUnited is offering new rebates for heat pump upgrades. A rebate of $150 is available for upgrading to a heat pump system of 15 SEER and a $300 rebates is available for upgrading to a heat pump system of 16 SEER or higher. Systems must be 18,000 BTU to qualify. Rebate is only available to homeowners. Each applicant must be an EnergyUnited member. Rebates are limited to two units per household.

Minnesota Energy Resources (Gas) - New Construction Rebates

Minnesota Energy Resources offers a variety of rebates to residential customers who install energy efficiency measures in homes that have been newly constructed. Program applications must be received within 60 days of installation of measures. Low income customers should check out low income new construction rebates. Minnesota Energy Resources (Gas) - Home Energy Excellence Program for Builders or Homeowners

Minnesota Energy Resources offers the Home Energy Excellence Program to encourage builders to build energy efficient homes. Minnesota Energy Resources offers rebates to both homeowners and builders for certain types of equipment installed in homes that were built as a part of this program. Minnesota Energy Resources will only provide one rebate per piece of equipment, so contractors and homeowners should determine who applies for/receives the rebate. Connexus Energy - Residential Energy Efficiency Loan Program

The Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) offers Connexus Energy members discounted rates for loans. These loans offer homeowners the option of financing their purchase instead of applying for rebates afterwards. A variety of energy efficiency improvements, including ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps, electric thermal storage, and water heating measures are eligible for loans. Dakota Electric Association - Residential Energy Efficiency Loan Program

Dakota Electric provides low-interest loans to help its residential customers finance projects which will improve the energy efficiency of participating homes. Two loans are offered. One is for 0% APR for a maximum loan of $7,500 and term of 6-60 months. The other is for 2.99% APR for a maximum loan of $25,000 and a term of 61-120 months. DHCD Net Zero Construction Loan Program

Under the Net Zero residential construction program, the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development offers loans for builders, developers and homeowners to construct of rehabilitate residential buildings to energy efficient standards.

Net Zero homes features may include advanced energy efficient design and technology and renewable energy resources. Proceeds may be used for acquisition of a project, construction and development costs, and closing costs. The program requires applicants to obtain a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) score of 50 or lower.

Poudre Valley REA - Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association (PVREA), a Touchstone Energy Cooperative, offers a variety of lighting rebates to commercial and residential customers. Rebates are available on appliances, heating & cooling, residential LED lighting, outdoor power equipment, EVs, programmable thermostats, commercial & industrial motors, motor VFDs, commercial LED lighting, as well as income-qualified projects.
