Energy Smart - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program (19 Municipalities)

Franklin Energy Services has partnered with the Michigan Public Power Agency (MPPA), which is made up of 19 municipal utilities, to offer the Energy Smart Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program. Residential electric customers served by one of the 19 participating utilities are eligible for rebates on energy efficient upgrades. Purchased products must meet program standards in order to receive rebates, please refer to the Program Application for all equipment requirements and guidelines. The Energy Smart Program also offers rebates for the pickup and proper disposal of inefficient, yet still working, refrigerators ($50), room A/C units ($15), and dehumidifiers ($15).

Atmos Energy - Natural Gas and Weatherization Efficiency Program

Atmos Energy provides rebates to residential and commercial for natural gas heating equipment through the Kentucky High Efficiency Rebate Program. When Atmos Receives the Kentucky High-Efficiency Rebate Installation and Verification Form with a customer's Atmos Energy account number, recent Atmos Energy utility bills, and dated purchase receipts/proof of installation for the eligible equipment, they will issue a check within 10 weeks. Independence Power and Light - New Homes Rebate Program

Independence Power and Light offers rebates to builders for constructing new, energy efficient homes which meet ENERGY STAR standards. Builders who meet ENERGY STAR standards and install specified equipment will be eligible for prescriptive rebate amounts ranging from $300 - $800 per new home. In order to achieve ENERGY STAR designation, an independent Home Energy Rating System (HERS) developed by the Residential Energy Services Network is utilized to score a new house. 

To help builders with the costs associated with an independent HERS rating, the New Homes Program with ENERGY STAR would reimburse builders for actual HERS inspection and rating

Independence Power and Light - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Independence Power and Light (IPL) offers rebates to residential customers of existing and new single or multi family homes for purchasing new, energy efficient appliances. Rebates are available on central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, and heat pump water heaters. Rebates on equipment vary based upon size, capacity, and efficiency of the unit. FirstEnergy (Potomac Edison) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

FirstEnergy (Potomac Edison) offers incentives to Maryland residential customers who are interested in upgrading to more energy efficient appliances and HVAC systems. Rebates are available on refrigerators, LED light bulbs, LED lighting, central A/C, heat pumps, and home energy audits. All efficiency and equipment standards on the Potomac Edison program website and booklet must be met in order to receive rebates. Solar and Wind Permitting Laws

New Jersey has enacted three separate laws addressing local permitting practices for solar and wind energy facilities. The first deals with solar and wind facilities located in industrial-zoned districts; the second with wind energy devices sited on piers; and the third addresses permitting standards small wind energy devices in general. All three are described below.

Montana-Dakota Utilities (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Montana-Dakota Utilities (MDU) offers rebates to customers who install energy efficient natural gas equipment in new construction. New furnaces and water heaters are eligible for incentives through this offering. All new eligible homes with qualifying furnaces will receive a $300 rebate. See equipment requirements listed above for eligibility or visit program web site. MDU issues rebate payments in the form of a check, not a utility bill credit.

Application forms must be fully completed with equipment information such as invoice or receipt, brand, model number, serial number, installation date and dealer information. Equipment must be installed during the same program
