Okanogan PUD - Conservation Loan Program

Okanogan PUD provides financial assistance for its qualified customers to improve the energy efficiency of homes and facilities. They offer loans for a variety of conservation measures including insulation, doors, air-sealing, duct work, lighting, Energy Star heat pumps and windows. Before funds are provided for new windows, door and/or heat pumps, the insulation levels must meet the program guidelines. Loans in excess of $4,000 will require that a Real Estate Mortgage be signed prior to loan approval. Consumers Power, Inc. - New Homes Energy Efficiency Program

Consumer's Power, Inc.(CPI)  offers incentives for new home construction. To qualify, homes must use CPI electricity, be new construction (remodels do not qualify), and be approved for the incentive before construction begins. Guidelines for ensuring new homes are eligible to participate in CPI's incentive program can be found on the utility's website.

Green Building Requirement

Effective Sept. 21, 2022, DC has adopted the Clean Energy DC Building Code Amendment Act of 2022 (D.C. Law 24-177) which calls for the District to adopt an NZE building code that applies to the new construction or substantial improvement of any building subject to the Commercial Provisions of the DC Energy Conservation Code, including commercial buildings and residential buildings taller than 3 stories. Regulations for this law must be finalized by the Mayor by December 31, 2026.

Currently the District has a voluntary Net Zero Building Code that will serve as the basis for the Net-Zero-Energy standard

City of New Orleans - Net Metering

Origin 

In May 2007, the New Orleans City Council adopted net-metering rules that are similar to rules adopted by the Louisiana Public Service Commission (PSC) in November 2005. The City Council's rules require Entergy New Orleans, an investor-owned utility regulated by the city, to offer net metering to customers with systems that generate electricity using solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, geothermal or biomass resources. Fuel cells and microturbines that generate electricity entirely derived from eligible renewable resources are also eligible.

The City Council's rules apply to residential facilities with a maximum capacity of 25 kilowatts (kW)

Mandatory Green Power Option for Large Municipal Utilities

Municipal electric utilities serving more than 40,000 customers in Colorado must offer an optional green-power program that allows retail customers the choice of supporting emerging renewable technologies. The renewable energy credits (RECs) generated by the resources are retired upon their sale to a customer, and may not be used for compliance with Colorado's renewable portfolio standard.

Grays Harbor PUD - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Grays Harbor PUD provides incentives for residential customers to increase the energy efficiency of homes which choose to participate in the Residential Energy Efficiency Program. Rebates are provided for qualifying heat pumps, weatherization improvements and certain appliances. To receive the appliance rebates, members simply need to attach receipts to the rebate application and mail it to Grays Harbor PUD. To receive the weatherization and heat pump rebates, members need to contact the utility before beginning the project. Grays Harbor will send a representative to the home to perform a free preliminary energy audit, during which the most cost-effective projects will be identified.

Consumers Power Inc. offers rebates to its residential members for a wide variety of energy efficient products and measures. Rebates are offered for certain Energy Star appliances, weatherization measures, water heating, heat pumps, and Energy Star new and manufactured homes. Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative - Residential/Commercial Efficiency Rebate Program

The Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative offers rebates to residential and commercial members for purchasing energy efficient add-on heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, water heaters, dishwashers, dryers, refrigerators, washing machines, lighting, smart thermostats and solar stock watering systems.

For all products, YVEC offers a rebate within 90 days of purchase. Rebate applications are located on the program web site. All installation, equipment and other qualifying requirements must be met. San Antonio City Public Service (CPS Energy) - Renewable Portfolio Goal

In 2003 San Antonio's municipal electric utility CPS Energy established a renewable portfolio goal, which was increased in 2008 to meeting 20% of its electrical peak demand with renewable energy by 2020; CPS met the goal in 2017. (CPS Energy was not subject to the requirements of Texas's former renewable portfolio standard.) The City of San Antonio, under its 2019 Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, has greenhouse gas emissions targets of 41% reduction compared to 2016 levels by 2030 and 71% reduction compared to 2016 levels by 2040, which the utility has agreed to pursue.

Weatherization & Energy Efficiency Programs

Lane Electric hosts a variety of energy efficiency and conservation programs, beginning in the late 70’s and early 80’s with their basic weatherization program. Today Lane Electric offers a number of different program options.

Energy Audits

Free energy audits are available upon request. To begin, Lane Electric members must request an energy analysis/audit for the dwelling. Requests are scheduled and audits are completed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the energy analysis is performed, an information packet including specific recommendations, an approved contractor list, contractor bid sheets, and a bid preference/program option form are mailed
