Murfreesboro Electric Department - Residential Heat Pump Loan Program

Murfreesboro Electric Department, in collaboration with the Tennessee Valley Authority offers financing to its residential customer to help pay for new heat pumps through their Energy Right Heat Pump Program. Customers can finance up to $15,000 and pay in monthly installments on their utility bills. The loans can be paid off in as many as 10 years. There is a $45.00 security filing fee. The heat pump must be installed by a program-qualified contractor.

Alabama Power Co. is an electric utility that serves 1.4 million customers electricity. Alabama Power Co. offers rebates to customers who make the switch from a gas to a hybrid water heater. Central Georgia EMC - Home Plus Loan for Energy Efficiency Upgrades

Central Georgia EMC offers a loan program to homeowners who wish to pursue energy efficiency improvements. All energy efficiency improvements must meet Energy Star Criteria in order to qualify for the loan program. Loan amounts vary depending on the project.

Residential and Small-Scale Ground-Source Heat Pump Rebate Program

Massachusetts Clean Energy Center(MassCEC) provides rebates for the installation of small-scale ground-source heat pump (“GSHP”) systems, as part of MassCEC's Clean Heating & Cooling programs. Through the program, MassCEC supports new and retrofit ground-source heat pump installations by single-family, with incentive adders to low-income families.

Rebate Levels: 

New GSHP installations: 

Residential rebates are limited to the first 5 tons through this program at a base rate of $2,000 per heating ton. Full replacement of an existing GSHP installation may be considered a new GSHP installation. Following adders are available: 

  • $1,500 per heating ton to households with income lower than 80%

Efficiency Maine - Home Energy Loans

Efficiency Maine offers a variety of home energy loans to help customers pay for energy upgrades. Maine homeowners can borrow up to $7,500 over 10 years with interest rates fixed at 5.99% APR. There are no additional fees associated with these loans.

The Low-Income Multifamily Energy (LIME) Loan supports energy improvement projects for low- and moderate-income properties. Connecticut Green Bank has partnered with Capital for Change (C4C) to provide unsecured multifamily energy financing for owners seeking to improve the energy performance, economics, and health and safety of their properties. Loans are repaid from energy cost savings for terms up to 20 years. Loans may be for acquisition, bridge funding, construction/rehabilitation financing, or permanent terms.

Inclusive Prosperity Capital’s Navigator Pre-Development Energy Loan is a simple, unsecured pre-development loan that funds customized analysis and design of energy improvements for multifamily properties using owner-selected and managed technical service providers.
