Dominion Energy - ThermWise Commercial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

ThermWise is a Dominion Energy program that promotes the use of energy-efficient appliances and practices to reduce natural gas usage. Through this program Dominion Energy provides incentives for commercial and industrial customers who incorporate energy efficiency into their facilities. All equipment requirements must be met in order to participate. These rebates are for Dominion Energy customers only, Dominion does not service all of Idaho, check to confirm your service area before beginning the application. Duke Energy - NC Solar Rebate Program

Note: Funding for this program is fully allocated and Duke is no longer accepting applications. It will continue to hold the waitlist until all reservations have been paid. 

Duke Energy Carolinas and Duke Energy Progress are providing rebates to customers who install PV. Each utility will is awarding rebates on a first-come, first-served basis to 10 MW of systems each year. Of this total, 5,000 kW are reserved for residential applications. Of the remaining 5,000 kW, 2,500 kW is reserved for nonprofits.

Ames Electric Department - Commercial Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs

The Ames Electric Department provides free energy audits and multiple energy efficiency rebates for commercial and industrial customers. The rebate programs available include: the Efficient Appliance Rebate Program, The Efficient Air Conditioner Rebate Program, The Power Factor Correction Rebate Program, the Commercial Custom Rebate Program, and the EV Charger Rebate Program. 

All programs require that the customer submit a completed application form within 60 days of equipment installation. Rebates can be submitted online via rebate portals, or customers can request to submit a paper form via mail. Contact the utility for more information.

Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate Program

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) provides rebates for the installation of ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems at single-family/multifamily residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial sites. Rebates will be granted to GSHP systems installed after January 1, 2017, on a first-come, first-served basis, with applications accepted through June 30, 2019. Eligible sites include new and existing buildings installing a GSHP system for space heating and cooling, domestic hot water, and/or process heating that pay or will pay the surcharge.

Wabash Valley Power Association (28 Member Cooperatives) - Residential Energy Efficiency Program

Wabash Valley Power Association (WVPA) is a generation and transmission cooperative which provides wholesale electricity to 28 distribution systems in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, and Illinois. View the WVPA membership webpage to view all participating members of the association. WVPA offers a number of rebates to residential customers of these member organizations. LADWP - Non-Residential Energy Efficiency Incentive Program

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power offers prescriptive and custom incentives to non-residential customers for the installation of energy saving measures, equipment, or systems through a variety of programs, including:

Energy Storage Tax Credit

Maryland provides a tax credit to taxpayers who install energy storage systems in their residential or commercial property. The tax credit is 30 percent of the total installed costs of the system, up to $5,000 for residential property and $150,000 for commercial property. Taxpayers must apply to the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) to receive a tax credit certificate, which then qualifies them for the tax credit. MEA will award up to $750,000 in energy storage tax credits each year on a first come, first served basis while funding is available. NV Energy - Energy Storage Incentive Program

NV Energy is providing incentives for its customers to install energy storage systems at their homes and facilities.  To be eligible, customers must either have previously installed a renewable energy system or are currently installing one alongside their energy storage system. Standalone energy storage systems are not eligible.

Energy Innovation Grant Program

As of April 13, 2020, the last solicitation for this program took place in October 2018.

The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin's Office of Energy Innovation offers grants for certain energy projects through the Energy Innovation Grant Program. Applicants for the grant program must be either municipal or tribal governments, K-12 school districts, or manufacturers. Eligible projects include building energy efficiency, energy storage, renewable energy, alternative fuel transportation, facility and fleet audits, comprehensive energy plans, and feasibility studies and training and operations for any of these project types.

Energy Conservation Improvements Property Tax Exemption

In 2017, New York passed Assembly Bill 260, adding electric energy storage equipment and systems as eligible for an exemption from real property taxes for certain energy equipment.

Other equipment included in the exemption includes micro-hydroelectric energy systems, fuel cell electric generating systems, and micro-combined heat and power generating equipment systems (added in the 2017 bill), as well as solar, wind, and farm waste energy systems (previously included).
