City of Statesville Electric Utility Department - Residential and Commercial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

The City of Statesville Electric Utility Department offers rebates to its residential customers for installing new, energy efficient heat pumps, geothermal water heaters or solely electric water heaters in either new construction or existing homes. Tanked water heaters must be 30+ gallons, and heat pumps must have a 16+ SEER rating. See program site for details.

Commercial and Industrial customers are eligible for a maximum of $5,000 per year and a total of $20,000 in lighting rebates for the life of the program to help defray costs of lighting upgrades in municipal facilities.

City of New Bern Electric Department - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

The City of New Bern Electric Department offers rebates to its residential customers for installing new replacement energy efficient water heaters and central heat pumps. Appliances must be electric and load management switches must be installed on the appliances, or the existing switch must be reconnected to the new equipment. A copy of the bill of sale with the model and serial number is required. 

Once approved, the rebate will be applied to the customer’s electric account. If a request to remove the load management switch is made within two years of the date that the rebate credit is issued

PSEG Long Island - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

PSEG Long Island offers a variety of incentives which help residential customers upgrade to more energy efficient equipment and appliances in their homes. Incentives are available for home energy audits and for purchase and installation of equipment including washers, dryers, pool pumps, lighting, heat-pumps, and geothermal energy. Applications for rebates can be applied online, or through mail. Applications should be accompanied by supporting documentation, including copy a of recent PSEG residential electric bill, copy of sales receipt including manufacturer, model number and price of the product purchased.

City of Ashland - Green Building Incentive

Developers in Ashland may increase the base density of units in residential developments by incorporating energy efficiency, architectural creativity and innovation, and the use of natural features of the landscape. Density may be increased up to a maximum of 15% based on bonus points earned for meeting the minimum requirements for certification as an Earth Advantage home, which includes an evaluation of energy usage, water usage, and air quality guidelines. Conservation features can also include passive solar design.

South Alabama Electric Cooperative - Residential Energy Efficiency Loan Program

South Alabama Electric Cooperative (SAEC) is a part owner of Alabama Electric Cooperative which has a generation facility in Andalusia, Alabama. The Energy Resources Conservation Loan (ERC) helps members of the cooperative cover the cost of labor and materials for energy conservation measures on existing structures. Loans will only be made to members who have good credit ratings and also own the structures to be weatherized. Murfreesboro Electric Department - Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Murfreesboro Electric Department, in collaboration with the Tennessee Valley Authority, offers incentives to home builders and homeowners for the construction of energy efficient homes through the Energy Right New Home Program. In general, qualifying homes are equipped with features such as a high-efficiency electric heat pump (instead of a central furnace and air-conditioning system); effective insulation, extra caulking, plenty of weather-stripping, double-pane windows; and an electric water heater. Incentive amounts are based on the exact home energy rating of the home. Additional rebates are offered specifically for efficient water heaters.

Bristol Tennessee Electric Service - Energy Savings Loan Program

Bristol Tennessee Electric Service (BTES) offers financing to its residential customers to help pay for energy-efficient home improvements through the Energy Savings Loan Program. Dixie Electric Cooperative - Residential Energy Efficiency Loan Program

Dixie Electric Cooperative, a Touchstone Electric Cooperative, offers the Energy Resources Conservation (ERC) loan to residential customers pursue energy efficiency measures. Funds can be used for improvements, upgrades, gas to electric conversions, or installation of a heat pump system. Financing is dependent upon credit approval. Electric Power Board of Chattanooga - Smart Build New Homes Program for Builders & Developers

In order to promote the efficient use of electricity, EPB of Chattanooga will waive certain usual charges if guidelines are followed and will award certain other incentives and advertising to assist in promoting the requirements.

Participation requires:

  • Pre-wire homes with Cat-5e ethernet
  • Install dual Cat-5e outlets in each living space
  • Pass all required inspections
  • Run all communication wiring to a centrally located “home run box”
  • Meet a minimum HERS energy efficiency score of 93

Central Alabama Electric Cooperative - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Central Alabama Electric Cooperative, a Touchstone Electric Cooperative, offers the Touchstone Energy Home Program. Touchstone Energy Homes, either standard or manufactured, with an air-to-air, dual fuel or mini-split heat pump qualify for rebates.
